At a high-level academic forum on “Aging and Health” held by the Beijing Health Education Association on Aug. 29, experts called for not letting poor lifestyles affect a healthy life expectancy. Experts said that the number of factors affecting human health and longevity is “15108760”. That is, in human health and longevity factors, genetic factors account for only 15%, social factors account for 10%, medical condition factors account for 8%, climate and environmental factors account for 7%, while lifestyle factors account for 60%. No drugs or other means of effectively reversing aging have yet been discovered. However, there is evidence that diet is related to aging and longevity, and limiting energy intake can slow down aging and reduce tumors and cardiovascular diseases; reasonable exercise will make people healthier. And the secret to longevity for many long-lived seniors is that they maintain an optimistic mindset. Experts suggest that to deal with high stress, high pace, high intensity work to keep in mind the “three keep”: keep 7 hours of sleep, keep a regular life, keep the way of catharsis.
