Follow-up of 2mm ground-glass nodules can be done at three or six months, or up to one year if there is no change or discomfort. The growth of ground-glass nodules is generally inert, i.e., they grow slowly, which means that regular follow-up is sufficient. Because imaging is not diagnostic and can only determine the benign or malignant nature of the disease, regular follow-up can be used to observe some of the characteristics of the ground-glass. If the nodule grows and becomes malignant, surgical resection is the treatment of choice to minimize the impact on the normal function of the lungs. If there is no obvious change in the ground glass nodule, the follow-up time is usually three months or six months. If you find 2mm ground glass nodules, we recommend that you go to the hospital in time and listen to the advice of a professional doctor, so as to avoid delaying your condition.
