How long after total hysterectomy can you have intercourse

You should not have intercourse until three months after total uterine excision surgery. Total hysterectomy is suitable for the treatment of benign uterine tumors, malignant tumors, severe functional uterine bleeding, endometriosis, uterine prolapse and other gynecological diseases. The recovery time varies with different types of hysterectomy. Commonly used types of hysterectomy include transvaginal resection, transabdominal wall resection, and transabdominal laparoscopic resection. Generally, sexual intercourse is prohibited within three months after total hysterectomy, no pelvic baths, no strenuous exercise and heavy physical labor within six months, no prolonged standing or sitting, and postoperative care should be strengthened to prevent colds and flu, and to avoid chronic coughs as well as constipation symptoms.
