Nasal mucosal thickening is mainly seen in chronic rhinitis, with symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, headache and decreased sense of smell.
1. Nasal congestion: thickening of nasal mucosa is mainly caused by inflammation of the nasal cavity, which stimulates the thickening of nasal mucosa and narrows the nasal cavity, causing nasal congestion.
2. Runny nose: the nasal mucosa is stimulated by inflammation, the secretion increases and causes runny nose, and the nasal mucous membrane thickening with bacterial infection, the nasal mucous membrane can be yellow.
3. Headache: the nasal cavity is close to the base of the skull, the peripheral blood vessels and nerves are distributed more, and the thickening of nasal mucosa stimulates the peripheral nerve endings, which may cause head and face pain.
4. Decreased sense of smell: thickening of nasal mucosa leads to the destruction of the anatomical structure of the nasal cavity, the airflow can not reach the olfactory region, resulting in decreased sense of smell.
