Pituitary disorders are most commonly pituitary tumors. If the tumor compresses the surrounding brain tissue, it can cause limited signs of neurological deficits, such as visual impairment, double vision, or numbness and weakness of the limbs. At the same time, if the hormones secreted by the pituitary gland are affected, it can cause disorders in the endocrine system and manifest as various types of syndromes of endocrine hormone abnormalities. It is usually necessary to visit the above mentioned departments to improve the pituitary MRI and perform enhancement scan if necessary to confirm the diagnosis and then decide specifically in which department the next step will be taken. In the case of larger pituitary tumors, neurosurgery is required, and in the case of significant endocrine disorders, endocrinology is required to adjust the hormone dosage.
