What is the difference between control lenses and myopia lenses

The difference between control lenses and normal myopia lenses is that they have a special design that controls the increase in myopia, such as a design that eliminates peripheral hyperopic defocus or progressive multifocalization.
Currently, myopia control lenses are also called functional lenses, which are designed to eliminate peripheral defocus or progressive multifocalization.
Compared to ordinary myopia glasses, glasses with peripheral defocus elimination can prevent the projection of the peripheral part of the retina from deviating from the retinal plane, thus controlling the increase of myopia.
The progressive multifocal design of the glasses, compared with the traditional myopia lenses, can relieve the discomfort symptoms of visual fatigue, and therefore has the effect of preventing the progression of myopia.
Myopia patients are advised to visit the hospital in time to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
