If a vascular problem is suspected, it is generally recommended to visit a specialized vascular surgery clinic and complete a medical history and physical examination under the guidance of a specialist. During the specialized examination, we mainly check the color of the skin, temperature, sensation, movement, whether the arteries are pulsating normally, and whether there is swelling in the lower limbs. The most common vascular examination is ultrasonography. The most common type of vascular examination is ultrasound, which shows whether there is any malformation, thrombosis, plaque, stenosis, aneurysm, or clamping in the blood vessels. If the vascular examination is clear, medication or surgery is required. In addition to ultrasound examination, CT examination of blood vessels, such as CTA of lower extremity arteries or CTV of lower extremity veins, can be used to see the vascular lesions more clearly. Angiography is the gold standard for disease detection, but it is generally not used as the first choice because it is an invasive test.
