How to cure epididymitis

Epididymitis can be treated by general treatment, medication and surgery.
The general treatment of epididymitis includes braking or bed rest, elevating the scrotum, cold compresses can be applied in the early stage, and hot compresses or hot water sitz baths are feasible in the later stage; magnesium sulfate solution can be used locally as wet compresses to promote the dissipation of inflammation.
The drug treatment of epididymitis is mainly antibacterial drugs, such as cephalosporins, quinolones such as levofloxacin. If the local pain symptoms are obvious, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen can be used, and lidocaine can also be used for local closure. The above drugs should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
If epididymitis is accompanied by abscess formation, it is necessary to perform abscess incision and drainage; if chronic epididymitis is prolonged and other forms of treatment are unsatisfactory, it can be considered to perform epididymectomy.
Epididymitis is recommended to go to regular hospitals for timely consultation, and choose the appropriate treatment according to the specific conditions.
