Watch out for diabetes causing coronary heart disease

Recently, outpatient clinics and wards conducted CTA, i.e. coronary CT screening, on diabetic patients with more cardiovascular risk factors, and the results were alarming. Most of the patients had different degrees of combined coronary stenosis, and quite a few of them had no obvious symptoms, and several patients who had undergone coronary artery bypass grafting and coronary artery stenting had new lesions several years later, and some of them had no obvious hints in routine examinations, so they were easy to ignore! Cardiovascular risk factors include: middle-aged and elderly patients, post-menopausal women; overweight or obese people; diabetes mellitus with a duration of more than 10 years; previous poor blood sugar control, combined with hypertension, hyperlipidemia, sleep apnea, etc.; ultrasound examination of peripheral vascular sclerosis or stenosis; poor lifestyle such as smoking, alcoholism, staying up late, etc. After autumn, the temperature is getting low, and the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, which is very likely to trigger the attack of coronary heart disease. For diabetic patients with more cardiovascular risk factors, while controlling blood sugar, blood pressure and blood lipids, they should be screened for coronary heart disease in time, and early intervention and treatment is the most important thing to prevent and treat the disease in autumn and winter!
