Difference between septicemia and bacteremia

The difference between sepsis and bacteremia is as follows: 1. Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory reaction produced by pathogenic bacteria that enter the blood and multiply in the bloodstream before running with the blood to tissues and organs throughout the body, due to the exotoxins, endotoxins, and inflammatory mediators produced by the bacteria after entering the circulation; 2. Bacteremia is a condition in which bacteria pass through the surface of the body or a surgical wound, enter the bloodstream, and multiply in the bloodstream before running with the blood to reach the whole body. There is no systemic inflammatory response despite the entry of bacteria into the bloodstream. Bacteremia mostly enters the blood circulation through catheters as well as surgical wounds and is common in the early stages of inflammation.
