Sacroiliac arthritis requires rest or exercise

Sacroiliac arthritis requires sedation during the acute phase of symptoms to relieve pain and promote absorption of inflammatory edema. During the recovery phase, exercise is needed to strengthen the muscles and reduce the probability of arthritis recurrence.
In the early stage of sacroiliac arthritis attack, patients need to stabilize the local inflammation through sedentary rest to avoid aggravation of the condition. Bed rest and local braking can be adopted to make the joint inflammation recovered, so as to improve the symptoms.
After the sacroiliac arthritis has improved, especially when the pain has basically disappeared, appropriate functional exercises can be started to promote further recovery of the organism. Commonly used exercises include jogging, flying swallow type low back muscle exercise and so on. It can strengthen the patient’s local muscle strength and promote the dissipation of inflammation, thus reducing the probability of recurrence of sacroiliac arthritis.
Sacroiliac arthritis cannot be cured only by resting or exercising, and patients should also consult a doctor in time for active treatment under the doctor’s guidance, so as to improve the symptoms and alleviate the condition.
