There are several reasons why women’s vagina does not hurt and has fishy smell: first, the most common reason is gynecological inflammation. Early inflammation has relatively small cell edema as well as degeneration and permeability change of blood vessels, which can cause no pain and no itchy feeling, only abnormal smell, such as fishy smell. The common gynecological inflammation is endometritis, pelvic inflammatory disease, tubal inflammatory disease and vaginitis, the most common one is vaginitis. When suffering from vaginitis the mucous membrane of the vaginal wall will be congested and edematous, thus there is inflammatory material exuding to the vaginal wall with necrotic material forming, and the necrotic material will produce odor if it is decomposed by bacteria. Secondly, for older married women, women over 40 years old should be suspected of having neoplastic diseases, such as cervical tumors and endometrial tumors, which can produce odor when the necrosis of abnormal growths accelerates the decomposition of bacteria.
