The bivalent vaccine is the bivalent human papillomavirus vaccine, which is usually given as 3 injections. It is recommended for women between the ages of 9 and 45. It is indicated for the prevention of cervical cancer and adenocarcinoma in situ due to high-risk human papillomavirus types 16 and 18. After the first injection, a second injection is required after one month and a third injection is required at the sixth month. Adverse reactions such as headache, fatigue and myalgia may occur after administration. Pregnant women should avoid vaccination and breastfeeding women should be cautious. This vaccine is contraindicated in people who are allergic to this vaccine or the ingredients in the formulation. It is recommended to remain in the hospital for at least 30 minutes after vaccination. This vaccine is intended for prophylactic use and is not indicated for the treatment of human papillomavirus-associated lesions that have already occurred, nor does it prevent the progression of the lesions.
