Does alcohol provide calories for the body?

Alcohol (ethanol) provides calories to the body.
Each 1g of alcohol (ethanol) provides 7kcal. When alcohol enters the body, a small portion of the alcohol is absorbed by the stomach, and most of the remaining alcohol will be absorbed in the intestines, whereupon the alcohol level in the body reaches a peak.
Most of the absorbed alcohol will go to the liver, be metabolized by the liver, ethanol into acetaldehyde, acetaldehyde into acetic acid, acetic acid is converted by the body into energy and water, carbon dioxide, thus providing heat for the body.
It should be noted that alcohol is harmful to the cardiovascular system, digestive system, nervous system, and alcohol has been classified as a class 1 carcinogen, so it is best not to drink alcohol.
