How many years can you live with gallbladder polyps?

How long you can live with gallbladder polyps requires a case-by-case analysis and cannot be generalized. Gallbladder polyps are usually benign diseases, most of them develop slowly and patients may carry them for life without any effect, which will not affect their life expectancy. However, if the gallbladder polyp becomes large rapidly within a short period of time, or if the diameter of gallbladder polyp exceeds one centimeter, we should be alert to the possibility of cancer. If cancer occurs, the situation is more complicated. The stage of the tumor, the patient’s basic condition, sensitivity to radiotherapy, etc., will affect the prognosis, and the 5-year survival rate of some patients may not exceed 30%. Patients are suggested to improve pathological examination in time, exercise properly, eat light and regular diet, ensure the supply of fresh vegetables and fruits, avoid spicy and stimulating diet, and avoid smoking and alcohol.
