Difference between Genie ring and regular ring

The IUD is currently the main form of contraception and is both convenient and very effective. There are different types of IUDs, metal and plastic. The metal ones are round, uterus-shaped, T-shaped and Y-shaped. The Genie ring is a metal birth control ring, which is a plastic wire with six small copper loops with trailing wires. This ring has a small knot at its tip, which is implanted into the muscle layer at the bottom of the uterine cavity when the ring is fitted. This ring does not come off, does not become embedded in the muscle layer of the uterus, and is very effective as a contraceptive. On the other hand, the ordinary ring is placed in the uterine cavity, and there is a possibility that the ring may shift, fall off, or become embedded in the muscle layer of the uterus after the IUD is inserted. The cost of these two types of rings is different. The Gini ring is more expensive and requires a higher level of sterilization. When removing the IUD, the Gini IUD is easier to remove by pulling on the tail wire, whereas the ordinary IUD can only be removed by dilating the cervical opening and inserting a hook into the uterine cavity.
