The difference between enteritis, encephalitis and pneumonia

Enteritis, encephalitis and pneumonia have certain differences in etiology, concept, clinical manifestations and treatment.
1. Etiology: enteritis can be caused by bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic infections, such as rotavirus, E. coli, roundworm, etc.; encephalitis is mainly caused by viral infections, among which herpes simplex virus is the most common; pneumonia has more causative factors, mainly pathogenic microorganisms, allergies and physical and chemical factors.
2. Concept: pneumonia is the inflammation of the terminal airways, alveoli and interstitium; encephalitis is the inflammatory lesion caused by pathogen attack on the brain parenchyma; enteritis is the inflammation of the intestinal tract caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites.
3. Clinical manifestations: enteritis with abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloody stools as the main manifestations; encephalitis with headache, fever, impaired consciousness as the main manifestations; pneumonia with coughing, coughing up sputum, fever, shortness of breath and other symptoms as the main manifestations.
4. Treatment: enteritis with bacterial infection can take ciprofloxacin and other drugs, with severe diarrhea can use montelukast to stop diarrhea, if necessary, need to replenish fluids; encephalitis with viral infection can be used to acyclovir and other drugs anti-infection treatment, patients with high fever need to be physically cooled down; bacterial infections caused by pneumonia need to be used in penicillin and other drugs to treat blood gas analysis suggests that significant hypoxia need oxygen therapy.
