Headache can be caused before menstruation. Some female patients will have headache before menstruation or in the middle of menstruation or ovulation, and need to take non-steroidal analgesic drugs to relieve the headache, which may last for many days if they do not take the drugs. Severe patients may even have headache during the whole process of menstruation. Patients who have headache because of menstruation are recommended to go to the TCM department of a regular hospital to receive TCM and Chinese medicine treatment, which can improve the symptoms with acupuncture and physiotherapy.
