Symptoms of emphysema

If emphysema occurs in a patient, symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, or even difficulty in breathing may occur, as well as symptoms such as repeated coughing and coughing up sputum. In such cases, a general judgment can be made by completing chest imaging examinations, such as chest X-ray, chest CT, etc. It is also necessary to improve lung function and other related examinations. After completing the above tests, if the emphysema is found to be mild and does not affect the internal organs of the chest cavity or the patient’s daily activities, no special treatment may be required. If the patient’s respiratory function is affected, or if pulmonary blistering occurs, or if spontaneous pneumothorax occurs, active surgical treatment is required.
