Can umeboshi cure nephritis?

Nephritis is generally known as edema in Chinese medicine. Umei does not treat nephritis, but its effects are to produce fluids, astringent lungs (collecting lung qi), astringent intestines, and tranquilizing roundworms, and it is used for prolonged diarrhea and abdominal pain of roundworms. Umei is a traditional Chinese medicine, flat in nature, sour and astringent in flavor, and belongs to the liver, spleen, lung and large intestine meridians. Wu Mei is not used for treating nephritis. Its functions are to astringe the intestines to stop diarrhea (relieving diarrhea by enhancing the function of intestinal astringency), to settle roundworms and relieve pain, to astringe the lungs to stop coughing, and to produce fluids to quench thirst. This product is mainly used for treating deficiency heat and thirst, lung deficiency and prolonged cough, roundworm and abdominal pain, vomiting, prolonged diarrhea, and prolonged dysentery. Ume sex astringent, so the external surface evidence or internal solid heat stagnation should not be used. Its adverse reactions and contraindications are not clear. If there is a need for the use of umeboshi, or need to treat nephritis, it is recommended to use the medicine under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner’s diagnosis, and do not self-medication to avoid causing adverse consequences.
