Is eye congestion related to taking Rosuvastatin?

Eye congestion is not associated with taking Rosuvastatin. Available clinical data and studies do not suggest that taking Rosuvastatin causes eye congestion, so it is not considered to be related to the consumption of Rosuvastatin. Eye congestion is caused by a variety of reasons that lead to abnormal blood flow or rupture of small arteries in the eye, common causes may include high blood pressure, resulting in vitreous degeneration of the optic nerve capillaries leading to their sclerosis or rupture and hemorrhage; diabetes mellitus, long-term hyperglycemia causing degeneration of retinal arteries, brittleness increases and leads to blood flow disorders; late night, poor rest can also lead to eye congestion. Rosuvastatin is relatively safe and adverse reactions are rare, generally liver and kidney function is impaired, muscle pain and so on. Therefore, people with poor liver and kidney function or those who have already experienced adverse reactions should control the dosage, prohibit or discontinue the use of the drug under the guidance of a medical professional.
