Bleeding from the heart is very serious.
Cardiac hemorrhage is usually due to cardiac rupture. Rupture of the heart refers to rupture of the free wall of the heart and perforation of the interventricular septum, which is mostly caused by trauma to the chest and can also be triggered by acute myocardial infarction. Cardiac rupture is an aggressive condition with a high mortality rate and a poor prognosis. Most patients usually go into shock or die within minutes after cardiac rupture and hemorrhage before it is too late to save them.
The treatment of cardiac rupture and hemorrhage should be prompt pericardiocentesis and drainage, or emergency chest opening to relieve acute cardiac tamponade and repair the heart rupture, or intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation, in order to save the life.
Cardiac bleeding is more serious, therefore, patients with acute myocardial infarction should rest in bed in the early stage, avoid physical activities or exertion, and minimize myocardial oxygen consumption to prevent cardiac rupture and bleeding.
