Six fingers, also known as polydactyly and redundant fingers, is a common congenital malformation. The etiology of six fingers is unclear and is mostly related to the influence of genetic and environmental factors on the embryonic development process. Sixth finger has a definite impact on the appearance of the fingers. Surgical excision is the only treatment for sixth finger that can make a difference in the appearance of the affected hand. The earlier the treatment, the better the recovery after surgery .
