If a tingling occurs around the mouth when applying a mask, it is more likely to cause contact dermatitis. In addition to the tingling, there can be well-defined patches of edematous erythema around the mouth with fine papules, and small blisters or even pustules due to infection can be seen. The main clinical treatment is oral loratadine capsules combined with glycopyrrolate capsules. Topical medication can be applied with zinc oxide borate ointment 1:1 mixed with black bean distillate. For small pustules, topical fusidic acid ointment or compound polymyxin B ointment can be applied. In terms of daily life, wash your face with warm water, do not apply any cosmetics or face masks, and avoid eating spicy and irritating foods.
