Clinical symptoms of tonsil cancer are pain and discomfort in throat, foreign body sensation, etc. Difficulty in swallowing and respiratory difficulty may occur in advanced stage. Tonsillar cancer is a common malignant tumor of oropharynx and its etiology is not clear yet, which may be related to human papilloma virus infection, betel nut chewing, smoking and other factors. Tonsillar cancer patients mainly present with sore throat, discomfort and foreign body sensation, usually with sore throat on one side, and the pain is obvious when swallowing. With the development of the disease, patients’ throat pain intensifies, which will cause discomfort of neighboring organs, earache, swallowing, difficulty in breathing, slurred speech and other symptoms. When the surface of the tumor breaks down, blood in sputum may appear, and if the cancer spreads to the neck, it will be manifested as a lump in the neck.
