How to check yourself for diabetes

Diabetes self-examination can use urine glucose test paper, which is economical and convenient, but patients with high renal glucose threshold are easy to miss the diagnosis. Finger glucose measurement can be used as the initial screening of diabetes. To confirm the diagnosis, venous blood glucose measurement is required, and fasting and postprandial glucose as well as glycosylated hemoglobin are tested respectively, so as to achieve early diagnosis, early intervention and early treatment. Regular blood glucose checkups should be performed at least once a year to detect fasting glucose and postprandial glucose, as well as glycated hemoglobin, which should be over 6.5%.
