Early multiple primary lung cancer is a kind of malignant tumor, and the severity needs to be seen according to the specific staging and the patient’s physical condition. If the staging is earlier, it is relatively less serious; if the staging is later, it is more serious. Generally speaking, the earlier the intervention of multiple primary lung cancer, the more advanced the TNM staging, the better the survival rate and prognosis will be.
According to some case statistics in the relevant literature, among patients with multiple primary lung cancers, female, non-heavy smoking history, no respiratory symptoms, concurrent multiple primary lung cancers, lesions with a maximum diameter of ≤3cm, the highest TNM stage of IA, adenocarcinoma-adenocarcinoma, the overall survival rate at 3 years was 93.8%, and the prognosis was better;
In contrast, the survival prognosis was poorer for patients with multiple primary lung cancers who already had a history of heavy smoking, had lesions located on the same side, had the largest lesion with a maximum diameter of >3 cm, had N1 lymph node metastasis, and had a late stage.
The overall incidence of multiple primary lung cancers is low among lung cancers, and when comparing multiple primary lung cancers with single primary lung cancers, there is no significant difference between the two in terms of recent surgical efficacy in terms of various postoperative indicators.
When patients are diagnosed with early-stage multiple primary lung cancer, there is no need to panic, and it is recommended to actively cooperate with doctors for early treatment so as not to miss the best treatment time.
