Will the tooth be polished if the filling material comes off and is refilled?

The tooth may or may not need to be polished after the filling material has fallen out.
1. If the material comes off within a short period of time after filling, and no secondary caries occurs at the site of filling, the tooth may not need to be polished again when filling, and the filling can be filled directly.
2. If secondary caries occurs at the original site after the filling material is dislodged, then the tooth needs to be polished, if the secondary caries is not deep, the newly developed corrosive material will be removed and then fill the tooth; if the depth of secondary caries is deeper and the nerve has been injured, then the simple filling can’t solve the problem, and root canal treatment is needed.
Warm reminder: do not delay after filling material off, to go to the hospital as soon as possible to deal with, or the lesions may be more progress deeper.
