Does early invasive triple-negative breast cancer need radiotherapy?

Early-stage invasive triple-negative breast cancer requires radiotherapy if it undergoes breast-conserving surgery or if it has high-risk factors.
Triple-negative breast cancer is a highly malignant type of breast cancer, and surgery is the treatment of choice. For all early stage breast cancer patients undergoing breast-conserving surgery, radiotherapy is required regardless of the severity of the disease.
Radiotherapy is also required for patients with masses larger than 5cm before surgery, or patients with metastases in axillary lymph nodes, or patients with cancerous tissue invasion in chest wall, which can further reduce the chance of local recurrence and improve the treatment effect.
Once you find yourself suffering from early invasive triple-negative breast cancer, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
