To determine whether there is a foreign body in the throat, first of all, we must clarify whether the patient has choking and coughing, aspiration, and secondly, according to the clinical symptoms. When there is a foreign body in the throat, the patient has an obvious feeling of foreign body in the throat, such as sharp objects like fish spikes, and often has the discomfort of stinging in the throat, and sometimes choking and coughing is obvious when a large foreign body is stuck in the throat, and in severe cases, the patient feels a sense of throat constriction with dyspnea and cyanosis, and sometimes croup can be heard in the throat. Patients may have obvious trismus, i.e. the supraclavicular fossa, suprasternal fossa, and intercostal space are obviously depressed during inspiration, so they need to come to the hospital for electronic laryngoscopy in time to find the foreign body and remove it. However, sometimes small foreign bodies may enter the esophagus and trachea in the process of movement, and if necessary, gastroscopy or bronchoscopy is needed to further search for foreign bodies.
