Dental plaque may be caused by dental fluorosis, enamel hypoplasia, caries and other diseases, as follows.
1. Dental fluorosis: early symptoms of chronic fluorosis, teeth in the development of the mineralization period of excessive intake of fluorine, manifested in the same period of eruption of teeth on the enamel chalky, brown plaque.
2. Enamel hypoplasia: during the period of tooth development, due to systemic diseases, nutritional disorders or severe periapical infection of the milk teeth, resulting in structural abnormalities of the enamel.
3. Caries: shallow caries is limited to the surface of enamel or bone, and only color change is found in the early stage.
