How to determine whether a broken foot is fractured

If a patient has a deformity of the ankle joint when the foot is broken, it can be immediately determined that a fracture has occurred. A fracture can also be determined if a bone rubbing sound or a bone rubbing sensation can be palpated, and if abnormal movement of the ankle joint is observed. If the ankle is only swollen and the local soft tissue is swollen, it is impossible to determine whether there is a fracture by appearance.
