What to do about eye infections

Many people often experience eye discomfort, redness, swelling, heat, pain, itching, etc. The most common cause of these symptoms is an inflammatory infection, such as keratitis, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, dacryocystitis, etc. collectively referred to as eye inflammation. The treatment of eye inflammation is as follows: The first step in the treatment is to find the cause and eliminate the causative factors, and then to treat the different causes appropriately. In general, acute inflammation of the eye can be cured quickly by chemical laboratory tests to identify the pathogens causing the infection, targeted application of sensitive eye drops and ointments, and appropriate amounts of astringent eye drops. Some chronic inflammatory diseases, although the symptoms are not very obvious but not easy to cure. Long-term standardized medication is required, bacterial cultures can be performed, drug sensitivity tests are done, and appropriate antibiotics are appropriate. For non-bacterial infections, topical medications targeting the pathogenic microorganisms or appropriate amounts of corticosteroid eye medications should be given on the basis of finding and removing the cause. In addition to medication, adequate sleep and balanced nutrition and avoidance of irritating foods are also particularly important in the treatment of inflammatory infections. Patients should use exclusive basins and towels, and disinfect them after use to prevent cross-infection. There are many causes of eye inflammation, and most cases of inflammation are treated according to the cause and the symptoms will soon be relieved, but some chronic inflammatory conditions can persist for a long time and should be treated comprehensively by looking for the cause.
