Treatment of pain

The treatment of pain begins with removing the cause of the pain and then treating the symptoms. There are different treatment programs for different causes of pain, different pain modalities and different conduction pathways. Anesthesiology treatment of pain, mainly including drug therapy, nerve block therapy and physical therapy, should be selected according to the different conditions of the patient. For example, for common trigeminal neuralgia, radiofrequency treatment of the trigeminal nerve can be carried out under the guidance of equipment, and its therapeutic effect is very good, while the recurrence rate is very low. For example, in the case of low back pain, such as pyriform nerve syndrome, nerve block can be performed according to the patient’s symptoms, and very good therapeutic effect can also be achieved. In the treatment of cancer pain, for example, if the patient’s cancer pain is not well treated by the conventional three-step treatment method, the pain department can carry out nerve destruction and other aspects of the treatment, in order to achieve the effect of making the patient feel that the quality of life is improved.
