Can highly nearsighted people jump rope with their eyes closed?

People with high myopia need to have regular fundus exams. If there is no combination of fundus lesions, you can jump rope moderately, but bungee jumping and other strenuous exercises are not recommended. High myopia is often accompanied by an increase in the axial growth of the eye, which in turn leads to thinning of the retina, and is more prone to fundopathy than the general population, so it is recommended to check the fundus on a regular basis. If the fundus examination is normal, rope skipping can be performed moderately, but if the fundus examination reveals the presence of retinal degeneration, lacunae and other lesions, rope skipping is generally not recommended. Patients with high myopia should also avoid strenuous exercise such as bungee jumping to reduce the risk of fundus lesions such as retinal tears and retinal detachment. If sudden vision loss or even blindness occurs in high myopia, it is important to be vigilant and require prompt medical attention.
