If lung cancer is recognized as phlegm-heat obstruction of lung, with cough with excessive phlegm, chest tightness and coughing up phlegm without discharge as the main symptoms, Qing Jin Hua Phlegm Tang can be chosen to treat the disease, and common drugs include Sang Bai Pi, almonds, Gua Pou Zhou, Scutellaria baicalensis, Zhe Bei Mu, Chen Pi, Poria and so on.
4. When lung cancer is recognized as yin deficiency and toxic heat, with dry cough with little sputum, blood in sputum, burning heat in chest, night sweating (sweating abnormally after going to sleep, but sweating stops after waking up) and thirst as the main symptom, Sha Shen and Maitong Soup can be chosen as the treatment, and the common medicines include Sha Shen, bamboo, Maitong, mulberry leaf, smallpox pollen and so on.
5. When lung cancer is identified as deficiency of both qi and yin, and cough, wheezing (shortness of breath), shortness of breath, fatigue, etc., Sheng Pulse Drink with additions and subtractions can be chosen for treatment, and common drugs include maitake, schizandra, ginseng, etc.
