If your baby does not pass the right ear hearing screening, it may be due to abnormal development of the baby’s right hearing system, resulting in abnormal hearing, or it may be due to interference from other factors that affect your baby’s hearing screening results. If your baby does not pass the hearing screening on the 3rd-5th day of life, you can have another hearing screening on the 42nd day of life. If your baby does not pass the hearing test in the same ear twice in a row, it is more likely that your baby has a hearing abnormality. In this case, you need to take your baby to a higher level hospital for further tests to clarify the diagnosis. If the baby is diagnosed with hearing abnormalities in the right ear, early intervention and corrective treatment will be required.
