First aid measures for children stung by hornets

When a child is stung by a hornet, drive the hornet away immediately and then observe the wound. If you see any hornet needles in the wound, you should quickly pull them out and squeeze some secretions or blood out of the wound to get as much toxin out of the body as possible. In addition, immediately clean the wound and disinfect it with antiseptic water, then apply dexamethasone cream or dermatol ointment, which can have anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects. If there is only local redness, swelling and pain, continue to apply the above ointment, the symptoms can slowly improve. However, if there are systemic symptoms, such as redness, swelling and pain in other parts of the limbs or even the whole body, or if there is numbness, pallor, sweating or even shock, you should go to the hospital immediately. After arriving at the hospital, give anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic treatment, either intramuscular injection of Benadryl or application of glucocorticoids for anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic treatment.
