What causes dysglycemia?

Disorders of glucose metabolism are affected by physiologic, genetic, and pathological factors. Physiological factors of elevated blood glucose, such as obesity, cause insulin resistance leading to glucose metabolism disorders; genetic factors, such as diabetes mellitus has a certain heredity. Pathological factors, such as hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma, etc. will cause glucose metabolism disorder. Physiological factors of blood glucose lowering, such as eating less, long-term strenuous exercise leads to low blood glucose. Pathological factors, such as taking too much hypoglycemic drugs, neuroendocrine tumors, pancreatic islet ß-cell tumors, etc. can lead to lower blood glucose. Excessive blood glucose or recurrent hypoglycemia should be taken seriously, go to the hospital for a clear examination, and be treated with medication according to the doctor’s prescription.
