How itchy skin is recognized in Chinese medicine

Pruritus is called wind itch in Chinese medicine. Wind itch, also known as itchy wind, is a skin disease in which itching is the main symptom, and the patient’s skin may have paroxysmal itching, and secondary skin damage such as scratches, hyperpigmentation, blood crusts, or mossy lesions may occur after scratching. Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and acupuncture can also be used. Drugs need to be taken under the guidance of a physician. Simple wind itching can be gradually controlled with good prognosis after timely and active treatment. If accompanied by primary diseases, such as diabetes, etc., need to actively treat the primary disease, the symptoms can be relieved.
