Induced abortion is usually taken in advance due to the relatively high number of preoperative tests and longer examination time for patients. The normal negative pressure suction time for an indolent abortion is about 5 minutes, and if hysteroscopic clearance is taken, the procedure usually takes 5-10 minutes. Hysteroscopic clearance is recommended, when the clearance time is relatively longer but the cleaning is relatively clean. The so-called 5-10 minutes mentioned above is the time it takes to do the procedure, but the time from the time the patient enters the operating room to the time she leaves the operating room is usually 30-40 minutes. These 30-40 minutes include the injection and fluids, establishment of intravenous access, anesthesia induction time and anesthesia awakening time. Some people are less tolerant of anesthetic drugs and may have a longer awakening time at regular doses, resulting in a potentially longer time, but most are basically out of the operating room within 35 minutes.
