Drinking lotus leaf hawthorn and salvia together can help to clear summer heat and dampness, eliminate food and activate blood circulation.
1. Lotus leaf is bitter in flavor and flat in nature. It belongs to spleen, stomach and liver meridians. Its effects are clearing summer heat and removing dampness, elevating Qing Yang (conveying nutrients from digested food to the head and face, etc.), cooling blood and stopping bleeding. Its effects include promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, clearing menstruation and relieving pain, clearing the heart and removing vexation, cooling the blood and eliminating carbuncles (eliminating carbuncles by cooling the blood). It can be used clinically to treat menstrual disorders, amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea, bruises, blood stasis and pain in the heart, sores and carbuncles. It should not be used in conjunction with veratrum.
The efficacy of infusion is different from that of decoction, and the efficacy of the drug is limited to play a better therapeutic effect.
