What’s with the runny nose and throat?

The most common cause of a runny nose with throat discomfort is a cold or flu. Cold or flu is a symptom caused by low immunity and resistance of the body due to viral infections, commonly due to rhinovirus, adenovirus and influenza virus. It will cause the patient to have a fever, with a body temperature of 38°C or above, accompanied by nasal congestion and a runny nose, which is predominantly greenish in color, or yellowish if it is accompanied by a bacterial infection. The patient will also have symptoms of sore throat, dry throat, itchy throat, foreign body in the throat, and violent cough. If the blood test reveals elevated white blood cells, it indicates a bacterial infection and the patient needs to take oral antibiotics such as cefixime and amoxicillin. If the lymphocytes are elevated, it is considered a viral infection, and the patient needs to take oral ribavirin granules for treatment. At the same time with the nebulization inhalation examination, local congestion and edema can be healed in about a week.
