There is no specific value for the effect of antiviral therapy on survival time in the compensated phase of cirrhosis. The treatment of patients with cirrhosis in the compensated phase is mainly aimed at delaying the loss of liver function, preventing hepatocellular carcinoma, and trying to reverse the disease. Therefore, cirrhosis caused by hepatitis virus infection should be actively treated with antiviral therapy. If antiviral treatment is not carried out in the compensated stage of cirrhosis, when it progresses to the decompensated stage of cirrhosis, a series of complications such as gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatic encephalopathy, infection and so on are likely to occur, which will have an impact on one’s life expectancy, but there is still no clear statement on how long one can survive, which needs to be seen in the treatment of the disease and its subsequent progress. Early diagnosis and treatment of cirrhosis is recommended to try to slow down the progression of the disease and to follow the medication prescribed by the doctor.
