Zhi Bai Di Huang Tang is composed of Chinese yam, dandelion, white poria, cornelian cherry meat, etc. It has the effect of nourishing yin and lowering fire, and is mainly used for treating symptoms of yin deficiency and fire exuberance, hot flashes and night sweating, dry mouth and sore throat, tinnitus and spermatorrhea, and urination with short and reddish urine (small amount of urine with dark yellow color). Caution should be exercised if there is deficiency of qi and actual heat; caution should be exercised if one has a cold.
