When a clinical patient suffers a nerve injury during surgery, the specific disposition depends on the degree of nerve injury, and different treatments are used. Patients with radial nerve trauma during surgery, the nerve is not completely severed, but only traction injury, conservative treatment can be considered. First of all, the patient should be instructed to take the initiative to move the wrist joints and finger joints, but also can be given a local hot compress treatment, the application of acupuncture, moxibustion, acupuncture points of traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis and other methods. Secondly, neurotrophic drugs can also be applied to promote early recovery of the nerve. If the radial nerve is completely severed during the surgery and the patient has a drooping wrist, thumb dorsal extension dysfunction, skin sensation numbness, etc., surgical treatment should be taken. In this case, incision and exploration should be performed, and nerve anastomosis should be done at the same time. Patients should also be encouraged to perform early functional exercises after surgery, which can prevent joint stiffness and muscle atrophy.
