Odontogenic sinusitis does not usually recur after effective treatment, especially surgery. Odontogenic sinusitis is the development of sinusitis due to oral causes, and is therefore usually treated as a combination of ENT and dental treatment. The ideal program is dental treatment followed by antibiotics to promote recovery from sinusitis. When the maxillary sinus anaerobic infection is more inflammatory, it tends to cause blockage of the sinus openings and poor sinus drainage, so medication is often ineffective and surgical treatment is usually required. If there is a worsening of sinusitis symptoms, it is generally recommended to treat the sinusitis before dealing with the dental problem. Symptoms of odontogenic sinusitis may be more severe, but in most cases are less likely to recur after thorough treatment.
