Is colon cancer blood normal?

The results of routine blood test for colon cancer are usually abnormal, there may be abnormal white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin and other items, but it is also necessary to pay attention to other examination items.
1. Blood routine
(1) Red blood cells and hemoglobin: they may be normal, or due to bleeding from the tumor, which may lead to chronic blood loss and cause iron deficiency anemia, manifested by reduced levels of red blood cells and hemoglobin.
(2) White blood cells: may be normal, or due to combined local infections, etc., an abnormally high white blood cell count may occur. If chemotherapy has been received, the white blood cells and neutrophils may be reduced.
2. Other tests
(1) CA19-9, carcinoembryonic antigen, etc.: the levels of these tumor markers may be elevated in colon cancer patients.
(2) Occult blood in stool: this test can be used as a primary screening tool for colon cancer. Positive patients need further examination.
If the above indicators are abnormal or colon cancer is suspected, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for consultation.
