Bundle syndrome is a congenital malformation that manifests as the formation of circumferential fascicles on the extremities, with or without other somatic deformities, such as syndactyly and facial clefts.
It is a rare clinical condition in which children are born with incomplete or complete depressions of the soft tissues surrounding the limbs, mostly in the fingers and toes, and occasionally in the skull and trunk. It may be accompanied by limb deformities, such as foot deformities, hand deformities, facial clefts, scoliosis, etc.
The fascia is a fibrous connective tissue embedded under the skin, which can compress blood vessels and nerves, leading to distal limb swelling, short finger deformity, and neurological dysfunction. Timely surgery is needed to relieve the compression of the fascia, and the commonly used surgical procedure is to perform fasciotomy and Z-plasty first, followed by deformity correction.
The emergence of corset syndrome needs to actively consult the doctor and standardize the treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
