Is Breast BI-RADS Category 3 serious?

Breast BI-RADS3 generally refers to breast nodules that are more likely to be benign and are not considered a serious type of disease. If there are no accompanying uncomfortable symptoms, it is recommended that breast ultrasound follow-up be performed every 3 to 6 months. BI-RADS is a grading scale for breast imaging (ultrasound, mammography, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging) that classifies breast nodules as benign or malignant and can be categorized into grades 0 to 6. Grade 0 means that the nature of the nodule cannot be determined and further examination is needed. grades 1 to 3 means that the nodule is benign and the chance of it being malignant is very small, but should be reviewed regularly. grades 4 to 6 means that the nodule may be malignant, of which grade 6 is malignant. When breast nodules appear, it is necessary to regulate the routine of life, avoid exertion, enhance physical exercise and keep a happy mood. If the nodule is found to be enlarged with abundant internal blood flow, there is a tendency of malignant transformation, and further examination such as breast puncture biopsy should be performed.
